Why You Should Start Using Wattpad

Launched in November of 2006, Wattpad was created as a safe haven for writers of all ages, styles and tastes. It is a free platform to read, write, and browse others published writings.

1. You can write about literally anything.

Articles, fiction, non-fiction, fan-fiction, poetry, history and even your own diary entries.

2. There is an app for that.

A beautiful and easy to use app is available for almost every smartphone if you do not want to be bothered using their equally visually appealing website.


3. It is used by thousands.

According to Wikipedia (great source, I know), 85 percent of its usage comes from mobile devices, the site has over 35 million visitors per month, 100,000 stories are uploaded every day, and as of April 2014, two million writers have published to Wattpad in the eight years it has been in service.

4. You can get feedback on your writing.

With the ability to like, comment, share and connect with the writer, editing has never been simpler.

5. It is free (no strings attached).

As poor college students, free is the best. You can have access to thousands of books written about so many topics FOR FREE.

Freedom, mobile apps, popularity, feedback and free. Five words that describe Wattpad. Try it out. I did, and I loved it.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment.
