Why You Should See Your Favorite Musician Live At Least Once

These are four grown men who are no taller than me and they all continue to inspire me everyday.

I recently had the opportunity to see my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, for the third time in my life. You'd think that after the first time, it would surely get boring for me to see them perform the same songs over and over, but it hasn't.

The first time I saw Fall Out Boy was in 2013, right after they had come back from their break. It was such an amazing experience, and I can honestly say it changed my life. Before 2013, I had been a fan since my earlier years, when I was about 7 or 8. I didn't know too much about them, but I knew a couple of songs, and I was hooked from that point on.

First concerts are life changing. Second concerts are just as important, and will confirm how much this artist means to you. Third concerts, and so on, will feel like falling in love with the music all over again. I think everyone should see their favorite artist at least once in their life.

Whether you manage to catch super close seats or you're shoved up in the highest row of the stadium, it's worth it no matter what.

Music written and performed by your favorite musician has a powerful impact on your life. Just listening to music you enjoy can turn your entire day around, and it can improve your mood in an instant.

To me, the four guys of Fall Out Boy have influenced my musical creativity to such a high level that if I ever met them, I'd ask so many questions about what inspired some of my favorite songs and albums.

Even if you're not particularly musical, it could still be a great experience to hear some of your favorite songs live, surrounded by hundreds of other fans who love that artist as much as you do.

There's nothing quite like seeing so many people coming together as an audience to celebrate music, let alone being a part of it.

In the end, having a good time and enjoying the experience is the biggest part of liking a musician. Whether you have plans to see your favorite artist in concert or not, that doesn't make you any more or less of a fan.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
