Why You Need To Stop Forgiving Him

He isn't good to you and you know it.

My dear, why do you keep forgiving him? You know you shouldn't, but you keep doing it. And I just have to ask you... why?

Is it his charm? Is it the way he gets you wrapped around his finger and then breaks away a piece of you each week? This isn't how it should be. You should be a team, working together through everything. Not just one of you controlling the other in some sick way. Why do you let him mess up so many times and still be welcomed with open arms? I wish you could see all of the better options you have.

Is it his character? Is it the way he likes having you around when he's alone, but the second his friends are around it's as if you don't exist? I wish you could see that he should want his friends to see how much he cares about you if he truly does care that much. He shouldn't be embarrassed by you being around. You should never feel like a tag-along. You should feel like you belong there and if you don't feel this way, you may want to make changes.

Is it the way he cancels plans? Is it the way he blows you off every time you need something or just want to hangout? Why is it that you come running the second he needs someone, yet he is slow moving to help you with anything? Don't put yourself through this when you have the opportunity to be with someone who would be there for you when you truly need them, not when its only convenient for them.

He isn't kind to you. He isn't true to you. He isn't respectful of you. Why do you keep forgiving him? Why do you keep coming back to him when we both know you can do so much better?

You do not need him. You do not need this stress in your life. You do not need him to be treating you horribly and be forgiven each and every time. He is similar to a puppy that needs to be trained. If you let him get away with things that truly hurt you, these problems will never be fixed and you will become more and more hurt. Please don't do this to yourself. Please find a way out and become who you want to be. People love you for who you are, so take this and run with it. Find someone who is kind to you, true to you, and respectful of you. That is what you need in your life.

So my dear, open up your eyes to the situation you are in and remind yourself of what you deserve. You deserve so much more than what you are being given right now. Go out and get what you deserve because you are worth it, in every single way.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
