All dogs are pretty cute. Wiener dogs (if you’d like to be official, call them dachshunds) are over-the-top cute and one of the best dog breeds out there. Let’s talk about why.
1. They're small!
Sure, you can get the standard size ones or the miniature ones, but they’re all relatively small. The short, tiny legs add to the cuteness. Their size makes it easier for you to cuddle them up to you and give them all the love!
2. They're hilarious.
Wiener dogs are crazy funny. They have a firecracker personality that is hidden inside their tiny bodies. If you ever get the blessing to get to know a dachshund, you’re in for a treat. They will surprise you with the amount of energy and goofiness within their small frames.
3. They have your back.
Have you ever heard of the Napoleon Complex? These tiny pups aren’t excused from this. They will protect a loved one! If they see a potential threat to you (maybe another dog or another human) they’ll stand ground in front of you and shout out. It can get a little pestering at first, but so what? They just mean the best!
4. They're so loving
Out of all the dogs I've met, weiner dogs know how to show affection. If you’re upset, trying to take a snooze or just lounging, you can count on your dachshund to pay you a visit and show you how much they love you! Maybe even expect to get a few kisses (or twenty) here and there.
5. There is so much variety!
Wiener dogs come in three different coats, two different sizes, and over 10 different colors! There's no going wrong with any combination of dachshund because any puppy you pick, it'll be the best one for you!
