Tomi Lahren didn’t really come out onto the scene until early of 2016 and since then, she’s made a name for herself. People love her and people hate her. There is no in between. Of course, many have an issue with the way Tomi speaks her mind and how blunt and honest she is. Many argue that she’s racist, a bigot or that she isn’t allowed to speak her mind freely because all it does is divide us. But what people aren’t talking about is how important Tomi’s voice is and why we shouldn’t excuse her but we actually need her. In fact, we need more people like her.
Do you realize that most on the left hate on Tomi because she’s a conservative? If Tomi was a democrat, people would praise her, including the media. Why would people praise her? Because Tomi says what everyone else is thinking but are too afraid to say it. She’s a voice for those who are voiceless. What am I talking about when I say she says what we’re all thinking? Let me clarify.
We need Tomi because if it weren’t for Tomi, the silent majority wouldn’t be heard they way they are being heard now. Perhaps the left doesn’t like Tomi because she is telling the truth and she’s practicing her right to freedom of speech. Tomi isn’t a racist or a bigot or a white privileged female. She’s a strong, independent woman who speaks her mind, and isn’t that what we all root for? Or are we only rooting for strong, independent women only when they agree with us? Are we only rooting for hard-working women who we’ve never disagreed with in our lives? If this is what we are doing, why? We should listen to Tomi when she says that we shouldn’t look at the side people are on or judge by what party we are in. We work hard and we stand together. That’s the kind of people we should strive to be. That’s the kind of women we should root for no matter what race or side they are on or whether you agree or disagree with them.
“That little voice in your head that tells you to keep going – listen. Don’t listen to Bernie or Hillary tell you free things are your incentive to apply for college or vote. Your incentive doesn’t come from the government, it comes from your brain, your heart, your family, and your creator. That’s something we all have in common. Don’t distribute my wealth, distribute my work ethic.” - Tomi Lahren
What else does Tomi do? She pushes you and she challenges you to think. What she’s doing for many people in America is allowing them to have a conversation. She’s telling you to think for yourself and to not allow the government or a political leader to think for you. We need more people in the media to push their audience to think for themselves. We need more people like Tomi Lahren for this reason alone.
Let’s stop relying and putting all of our hope in a president. A president is going to fail because after all, a president is only human. They make mistakes. Obama made mistakes, Raegan made mistakes and I am sure Trump will also. What we need to start doing is following the example of Tomi Lahren and practicing our right to freedom of speech and thinking for ourselves. Let’s not have a conversation filled with hate or accusing the other person. Let’s have a conversation where we can learn from each other, while practicing our right to free speech. Isn’t that what’s so great about America? Sure, she’s passionate and she’s in your face and sometimes people don’t agree with her but she’s also strong, independent and not afraid to speak her mind. Let’s all aspire to be that way. Let’s aspire to root for all women not just some. Most importantly, let’s not become a nation divided but let’s become a nation unified.
In the words of Tomi, those are my final thoughts.
