I'll admit, I've recently jumped on "The Bachelorette" bandwagon thanks to one of my best friends. Being the romantic sap that I am, I was immediately drawn in and could not believe how fake it was, but also real at the same time. After a few seasons now, I'm hooked and always look forward to watching it on Monday nights.
1. It's entertaining.
Who doesn't want to spend two hours once a week to just veg out on the couch and watch mind-numbing TV? This show has enough drama that each season is "the most dramatic season yet." And let's be real, the people on this show get to go on all of these really awesome dates and exotic locations. Plus, there is so much drama that you have to watch each week to find out what happens.
2. It gives me unrealistic expectations of love, but I'm okay with it.
No one ever goes on the dates that these people go on, and if they do then I would love to meet those people. But I give credit to the women and men that put themselves out there and allow their hearts to go in a thousand different directions. It's also a great way to be with all of your girl friends and complain about your own love lives and compare them to what's going on in the show.
3. The drinking games and brackets.
Shows like this are just asking to get made fun of. Some people have March Madness, others have The Bachelorette Brackets and other bets. It's so much fun to see who is rooting for who, and how far into the journey they will make it. And let's be honest, how many of us aren't drinking a glass or two of wine while watching?
4. The men.
I mean, have you seen some of them?
5. Jojo.
After the emotional rollercoaster that she went through during Ben's season as The Bachelor, my heart went out to her when she felt blindsided. I was rooting for her and felt like she was one of my own friends and I wanted nothing more than for her to find love. I think that she is going to have an amazing season and I am excited to watch her as she goes on her journey to find love.
