It's a new year, and everyone is looking for the best way to get involved. When there are so many different ways to, it would be silly to not take advantage of all of the opportunites available to you. The Trinity Art Collective is a new club that wants to give everyone a creative outlet. We are pretty new, but if I do say so myself we are pretty great, and here's why.
1. We actually want to do things.
From my experience with clubs, it is sometimes hard to keep up with event planning and attendance, and what once was a fun thing to go do turns into pointless weekly meetings. We have already planned two months of events just to make sure that doesn't happen. The whole reason that the club was started was so that there would be a group of people that appreciated art that could do things together.
2. Everyone is welcome.
We are open to everyone. People keep asking if they need to be and Art major or in an art class to join, and the answer is always no. There is no skill requirement whatsoever! As long as you appreciate art or want to make art, you will love the Trinity Art Collective. The current officers have a variety of skills and specialties, so there is no judgement and no standard to be met.
3. We want to broaden horizons.
In the true spirit of a liberal arts university, we want to give people the chance to experience and make art even if they haven't before. We all have tight schedules and lots of requirements to fulfill, and sometimes people who really want to try an art class never get around to it. Now, you can experiment and participate in art without having to sign up for a class or owning any supplies. You just have to show up to our events!
4. It's new and exciting.
The best thing about a new club is its endless potential. We are organized but not structured to the point that there is no room for change or improvement. We are always open to suggestions, in fact we encourage them! We want to know what the people who are interested in art want to do. The possibilities are endless!
