Everyone needs at least one amazing adventure in their life, and what better way to do it than a road trip? You may be thinking, who wants to spend hours and hours in a cramped car? In my case, who wants to ride in a jeep with no AC? But who needs AC when you can roll your windows down and feel the wind blowing through your hair. Road trips are not all that bad. There are so many positives about going on these long drives. In fact, there is something really beautiful about being on the open road.
You don't even need an exact destination, but if you do, then pick somewhere you've been dying to go to, or go out into the world driving until you feel like stopping. Enjoy the road ahead of you, take the back roads, soak in the sun and the scenery. Roll all of the windows down and breathe in the fresh air as you cruise along. You can pick your favorite road trip playlist and your favorite human to sit in the passenger side and have a perfect jam session as you travel together. It's not only fun, but a bonding moment between people.
Being in such a confined space with other people can definitely ensure that bonding time. You are all able to share stories and laugh about all the weird things you guys do throughout your travels. You guys can make stops all over the state, and accidentally end up in South Carolina, but that's what makes these road trips so special. You can take lots of adventure pictures for each other, then create a shared photo album between you three, labeled "Adventures" of course. Then you can save all of your favorites and stock up on them for future Instagram pictures because that's what you and your friends do.
If you are driving during the day, you can throw on your shades and listen to country music. Driving during the night can be such a peaceful thing. There are little to no cars and you can listen to relaxing indie music. The best thing about road trips is that you can mix up your music however you please. There are endless possibilities for music, and if you are with your friends, you can keep on passing the aux cord so the music never ends.
Whether you decide to take this trip by your side or with some friends, a road trip is a road trip. You can plan where you are headed or be spontaneous and not have a specific destination in mind. All you need to do is grab a few snacks, maybe even a gas station coffee, have your playlist ready and hop in your car and go. Then you can forget all of your worries, concentrate on the freedom of being on the road, and enjoy the memories you are about to make.
