There's no doubt about it that college is a few of the best four years of your life. You have a new sense of freedom, and you no longer have to 'OK' everything through your parents. I'm sure lots of you have been advised to be single in college, as being in a relationship ruins the 'college experience.' Don't get me wrong being carefree and reckless is fun, but it gets old. Fast.
Being in a relationship in college does not ruin the experience it heightens it. I mean, come on, have you ever heard a person in a relationship complain about wanting to be single? Most likely not. But we've all heard lots of single people complaining about wanting to be in a relationship. So trust me, and this article, when we say a relationship does not ruin your college experience. And here are a few reasons why.
You always have someone to cuddle with.
You always have someone to talk to if you feel upset, sad, or stressed. Even if the thing you're upset, sad, or stressed about is dumb your boyfriend/girlfriend will always reassure you it'll be OK.
You receive compliments every day, and as a result your confidence increases.
You have someone who is willing to do anything they can to help make your life a little easier. No matter how big or small the task is.
You don't have to worry about where you'll wake up on Saturday mornings, and you can make fun of your friends who do.
You have an extra cheerleader on your side rooting for you to succeed in whatever you do whether it's in school, sports, Greek-life events, or a student organization.
You get free food, like, a lot.
You can laugh at all of your friends complaining about their sexual dry spells.
You can also laugh at all of your friends complaining about awkward or bad sexual experiences because you're always having natural, satisfying, just all around great sex.
You have someone to always gossip to, and you don't have to ever worry about people finding out because you know your boyfriend/girlfriend would never tell a soul.
You don't have to always look nice anymore. You can throw on sweats and a t-shirt, and your significant other will still make you feel like you're flawless.
You can still go out every weekend and get crazy drunk, but you also get to come back from the bars and drunkenly eat frozen pizza in your underwear.
You know that if you accidentally drink too much one night your boyfriend/girlfriend will always be there to take care of you.
You always have someone to make sure you're comfortable at all times.
You have someone who will always be there for you, and will always make sure you're happy.
