This is based on my very first semester in college. Although, I'm almost positive that this is an accurate description of the assignment crunch that almost every college student may engage in at one point or another, regardless of what year you're in.
You think that you have all the time in the world to get everything done.
Then you realize that you have a bunch of assignments to catch up on in the span of a month before finals.
So, you try to relax and plan out how you're going to tackle each task.
At first, everything goes well and you begin to be productive for the first week or two.
Then your friends ask you to come over and hang out.
Although you want to go, you decline and tell them that you have to study and be a responsible student.
Then they try to convince you to still come out anyway.
After going back and forth about it (and some careful consideration), you eventually cave in while thinking that you did a considerable amount of work in that short time period.
So, here you are, out and about and enjoying yourself without a care in the world.
In the midst of partying, you remember that one of your papers is due tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. sharp.
Terrified and in a panic, you frantically head back to your dorm to at least start it
You finally make it back and begin to furiously type it up so that you can upload it in time.
As you begin to finish that last page, your body begins to shut down and sleep tries to take over.
Unfortunately, you lose the battle to sleep.
The next morning, you wake up and realize that you're down to the last sentence, but you only have five minutes before the deadline.
You finish and upload it just in the nick of time.
After that near-fail experience, you vow to never let that happen again.
At least, for now.
