There are all kinds of animal people out there—dogs, cats, reptiles, and everything in between! All of us know that the animal(s) in our lives are the only way to brighten up our days when things turn sour. And no matter what kind of animal person you are, there’s always someone to come home to who loves you unconditionally!
For all the dog lovers out there, we know the only way to fix a bad day is to come home and have your fur baby give you that look of pure love and jump all over you as soon as you walk in the door. There’s nothing like the love of a loyal dog.
Cat people know love a little differently. With cat people, even just being in the presence of our fur baby is an honor. Though they like to hide their days away, your kitty will always be there when you need snuggles (albeit brief), and they’re usually always good for a quick head pat as you give them treats.
Though many people disagree, reptile people need and deserve validation as well. Though reptiles don’t show love and affection the way that warm blooded creatures do, they do still appreciate your presence as a portable heater. And who doesn’t get a feeling of love when your scale baby wraps a little closer to you? Who cares if it’s just for heat, it feels loving anyways.
Small animal people know that the tiny little chittering noises and the special grooming we get is something that can never be replaced. Nothing can beat the feeling of them cuddling their tiny bodies up to you for protection and comfort.
Having animals in our lives is a way to gain a lifelong (or well, their lifelong) friend and is sometimes the best and only therapy you need at the end of a long day.
