Why My Sisters Are Truly My Best Friends

My sisters are the best friends I could ever have!

Everyone who has siblings know the struggle to get along. Everything seems like it turns into a fight, and the arguments they get into seem to be constant. Growing up with my two sisters was never like that.

My oldest sister is six years older than me. She has the same sense of humor as me, and we are always left laughing. My middle sister is three years older than me, and always knows the right thing to say. We all have our differences in personality (with many similarities as well) that balance us evenly.

Growing up, we obviously had our fights. Most of them were just us being dramatic kids. But we all continued to grow so much closer as we grew up. The possibilities were endless with our three imaginations pooled together when we were out of things to do. Playing house, games, making up plays, and more were all on the agenda during the summer months at home when we were younger. We played in the yard, swam in the pool, and spent every day coming up with new things to do.

When my oldest sister graduated high school and moved off to college, me and my middle sister got to spend a few years at home together. We grew a lot closer and spent lots of time together on our rides to school and on weekends at home. Once she graduated, my oldest sister ended up moving back home for a year or so, which allowed our relationship to strengthen as well.

Our time spent together is never boring. We all end up laughing the whole entire time and catching up on each others' lives since we all live out of the house currently around the city. We are all at such different points in our lives, which is really cool because we can share our own stories and details about our current lives. Holidays are never dull, either. Christmas Eve and Day are my favorite time because we all are home for at least a few days together.

We spend Christmas Eve night together, and all of Christmas Day just catching up, laughing and of course eating. Our birthdays are always something to celebrate. Whether we go to a nice dinner or all head home for the day, it is always great to spend time together. Vacations are always time spent together that never fails to make me smile. We all love the same things and spending our time in a way that pleases us all.

My favorite thing about my sisters is that nothing is ever dumb. No problem is too small, and nothing ever gets talked about "too much." They always are ready to listen, we never get annoyed with each other. We all love to help each other with whatever the problem may be.

Whenever I am feeling down or need advice on something even as small as "does this outfit look okay," they are ready to help and give their honest opinion. Me being the youngest, they both have been through things I am handling, which is really helpful to get their honest feedback.

I could go on forever about how wonderful my sister's are, and how I truly consider them my best friends, but I think you get the idea. Our relationship will continue to grow as we age, and I am so happy that this life gave me two older sisters.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
