"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort" - Herm Albright
This is my favorite quote to date. It was actually my senior quote featured in my high school yearbook. Reading this quote for the first time made me grin from ear to ear. This quote is just so great. And I think we should all follow it.
I like to consider myself to be one of those people with a positive attitude. I'm a pretty bubbly person. Anyone who knows me can probably vouch for that. I think a positive attitude and a positive outlook on life are key.
I'm all for happiness and good vibes. I love smiling. I love making people feel good about themselves. I'm a firm believer that everyone on this Earth is meant to do something. Whether it is to play a sport, start your own business, educate others, etc. While I'm still trying to figure out what my purpose is in this thing called life is, I'm going to stick with my answer and say that I'm meant to spread positivity and good vibes. And not to sound annoying or anything, but I think I'm pretty good at it.
I'm sure there is going to be at least one person reading this (if they even make it this far) who is going to say, "This is so corny" or "This is super cheesy." OK. I know I'm not a preacher. I'm just an 18-year-old girl who really can't stand negativity.
Negativity. The negative Nancys, the sour apples. We all know them. Hasn't your mother told you that one rotten egg can spoil the whole bunch? Why be that rotten egg? What has the rest of the bunch ever done to you?
I just think there is no need for negativity. Why moan and make nasty remarks while watching a performance somebody worked really hard on? Why pick apart someone's outfit when they already feel self-conscience in it?
We live in an unpredictable world. And sorry to break it to you, but we don't get to live forever. You know the motto, YOLO. I know I only get one life to live. And there is no way I am going to be spending it dwelling on traumatic and unfortunate experiences that have happened in my life, or picking apart my flaws, insecurities, other things I just don't like about myself. Quite frankly, all of that seems like a lot of work. I love a simple smile that can speak volumes. Or an unexpected "thinking of you" or "hope you are having a great day" text that turns your whole day around. So tomorrow, wake up with your positive outlook on life. I promise you, it is not a bad thing by any means.
