Relax! It’s perfectly OK to have a woman crush. Valuing another woman so much is such a great thing to see in our society, especially when there’s so much girl-on-girl hate. We need to stop treating everything like a competition. You’re always going to find someone that’s better than you at something. When you find someone who’s exceptionally good at something, don’t start tearing them down by talking about their faults and starting rumors. Just admit to yourself and others they’re really talented or beautiful and let it ride. Chances are, she might feel inferior to you about something too!

When you find someone who excels in multiple areas, have a girl crush! It won’t affect who you are at all. It just means that you have someone to look up to and want to be like. I highly encourage finding other women to admire and look up to instead of this constant push for women to be “perfect”. Pick a real woman’s footsteps to follow!

The other thing is, you can have multiple woman crushes! Many women have many admirable qualities, but there’s always that one quality that stands out above all the others. You might have a famous athlete you think of when working out, but then shop and think of a beautiful fashionista you want to model your wardrobe after!

If someone teases you, own up to it! No shame! Just say yeah, she’s really amazing or she represents my life goals. Just like any crush, it’s adorable and you should be happy talking about them!

To encourage the trend, here’s some of my woman crushes:

Katy Perry is my main woman crush for many reasons. She’s extremely talented at singing, dancing and writing. She’s very passionate about what she does and truly appreciates her fans. She also has a great sense of humor and a very bubbly personality. When it comes to fashion, she’s very creative in picking her costumes and creates a fun “Katy Kat world”. She’s also incredibly gorgeous.

Emma Stone is such a talented young woman with a great acting ability. She’s also very fun and is able to laugh at herself. She’s very confident in her own skin and is never afraid to give 100%. She encourages girls to be confident and feel beautiful.

Beyoncé, a.k.a. Queen B., is a flawless beauty. Her talent is unquestionable and she always brings it for her fans. She never disappoints.

Lady Gaga is her own woman. She’s amazingly talented at singing and acting! She’s not the least bit afraid of being who she is and doesn’t care what people think. She conveys both the aura of a powerful prowess and a talented, classic beauty.

P!nk from the get-go has been telling both girls and women to be tough, independent and strong. She doesn’t care what people think. She’s undeniably a tough bad a**, but is also a proud wife and mother.

Adele’s voice is like the glorious battle cry any woman with a broken heart only dreamed of hearing. She’s unquestionably talented but is also very down to earth. She always looks elegant and her eyeliner is always on fleek!

Jenna Marbles is one of the most well-known YouTube sensations. When her original plans didn’t work out, instead of trying to find a mediocre job and settling, she combined her comedy with computer skills and became a famous comedian. She and her boyfriend have a very supportive and admirable relationship. She’s beautiful and I hope someday to have abs like hers!

The list goes on, but I just wanted to show you it’s fun to have such admirable women to aspire to or admire. There’s many talented and beautiful women out there who should inspire us!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
