On certain days, don't you feel like doing something good but you see someone do something so hurtful it takes all that nice energy out of you? It's the chain reaction our world has gotten into for quite some time and I'm pretty sure it's getting to all of us in someway.
We were born in this world for a purpose, to live and see what we can do for other people. Before the ages of social media, the only negative reactions going on were war and burning witches. All it is now is bullying through a screen and bashing on others to make yourself happy.
Looking around this world, you start to think, "what is happiness," or, "why does this word even exist?" No one is kind or considerate of anyone's feelings anymore, all they care about is how they feel and only their opinion matters. You say one little thing to someone about something and they immediately go to the corner and overthink it the point they take it too personally. Even if it was said as a compliment that person thought otherwise.
Mistakes are also made, some caused by people who always make them and are never forgiven. Other times the kindest person makes one mistake and certain people act like it's the end of the world or that person changed forever. That person tries to apologize and say their piece in so many ways but they chose to ignore them and stick to their story and theirs alone. The classic saying, "there're two sides to every story," stopped being applied to the human mind. Even "treat others how you want to be treated," was taking into a whole new effect. Every kind saying in general including, "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all," is torn into mentally scaring shreds. No one seems to believe in them anymore, only the rare nice people left in this world do.
The one saying that's taking over this world is, "nice guys finish last." Is this why everyone is turning into angry, disrespectful human beings? Is this why Karma (if you believe in it that is) is getting to the wrong people? Is this why our country is getting turned upside down? I believe it's why these cases are true and we just have to prove those people wrong. Random Acts of Kindness Day only come around once a year, but it should be shown every day. Kindness, trust, and many other words are better than hate, shame, and so on; that's something that has to be shown more around our country.
People truly believe kindness and care aren't the ways to go about life when they should know they've been raised better than that. Parents raise their children to change the world for the better, not the worse; so we should try looking at a stranger, or someone you know, and say the first kind words that come to your head. Hopefully, they'll keep that kind of chain reaction going and stop making this world so cruel and make it nicer again.
