Why Is SweetFlexx So Sweet?

Having a busy life isn’t always healthy. As an avid gym-goer, this was not OK for me. I needed to find time to assure proper exercise, more sleep and better eating habits for my body. I turned to looking for alternatives to help me accomplish my goals. While going to school full time and working, I didn’t have much time to play with. My biggest worry was making sure that I had enough time to continue going to the gym three to five times a week. Yet as my schedule got busier, my window for spare time got smaller. I came to the conclusion I needed to do something about it.

While talking to my friend Alexa about my debacle, she introduced me to Sweetflexx. The more I got interested in their company, the more I learned as well. Sweetflexx, founded and invented by McCullough Shriver, offers new and advanced products that are unlike any other that I have tried. Their apparel actually has built-in resistance bands, which can be worn on-the-go in forms of leggings and t-shirts. These products, aside from being extremely comfortable, better your health and make your workout without even realizing it. Wearing Sweetflexx not only allows for your body to work out itself while you are on the go, but the resistance bands fit firmly to you body, ensuring a good quality workout without having to step foot inside the gym. Feeling the pressure, I decided to give it a shot by trying out a pair of Sweetflexx leggings.

When I first received my leggings, I was very shocked with how comfortable they were. I got to speak with Patrick Meucci, an inside source of Sweetflexx for more information about this company. I learned that Sweetflexx collaborated with the manufacturer of Lululemon, creating their own fabric to provide quality and comfortability to the consumer. Not only were the leggings thick and soft, but they fit well too. The first few days I wore my Sweetflexx leggings shopping, nannying and to my friend's house for a barbeque. Each time I wore the leggings, the next day I felt sore. It felt as if I went to the gym, and threw in a little leg workout. The function behind the leggings are within the two resistance bands that run down the front, parallel over the knee. When you walk, each step you take requires you to bend your knee to move it forward. After speaking with Patrick more, I learned that after a year and a half of Yale testing, results showed having resistance bands in the front of the leggings, your body has to work against this force (four lbs each leg for each step), so your legs have to work harder to move. As you work against the resistance, your body will get used to supplying the right amount of oxygen and blood flow to the body, making everything function more efficiently. During the preliminary Yale testing period, results showed increased caloric burn, oxygen intake to the body and metabolic rate.

Wearing Sweetflexx helped me obtain a new alternative for days that I cannot get to the gym as well as intensifying my workouts on days I do go. I wear my leggings to the gym on days I do cardio, leg day and yoga classes, adding an extra kick to my workout. I highly recommend not only taking the time to look into investing in one of their products, but to research the technology behind what makes these products so useful.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
