Every day I receive so many questions about my makeup—how long does it takes me to do my makeup, what products I use, why I love my makeup so much. Makeup has become part of my daily routine and I am perfectly fine with that. I know many prefer a natural look, and that is fine too, but for me, I will always love my makeup.
Many people tell me that they cannot get into makeup as it's too time consuming. I agree that makeup is very tedious and can take numerous minutes of time, but now that I have gotten so used to my makeup routine, it only takes me about 20 minutes to apply and it will last me the entire day. I agree that waking up earlier than you have to and enhancing your facial features may not be ideal but it is something I do quite often and have gotten used to.
I get questioned every day as to what products I use. I use so many different brands it is crazy. I love Kat Von D, Too Faced, Anastasia Beverly Hills and Urban Decay, but those are only a few of the many that I use. L'oréal is by far my favorite drug store brand and I almost like it as much as the high dollar brands. My absolute favorite products are my Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. I do not know what I would do without them. I find myself at Sephora and Ulta way more than I should and many of the employees even know me by name. That has come in handy many times as they know exactly what I like and are there for advice.
Many ask me why I love makeup so much. I really do not know the answer to that question but just to touch the surface, I like the way I look with it. Not that I don't like the way my natural face looks, I just prefer it with makeup. I like that others ask me for my advice about makeup. I will be working in the 100 degree weather and someone will ask me how I keep my makeup on so well. Anytime I am bored, I just experiment with my makeup. Makeup is truly an art and I cannot count the amount of times I have considered doing makeup for the rest of my life, but unfortunately my family is not about the makeup game.
As I get older, obtain a big girl job and hopefully have kids, I may outgrow my makeup obsession, but for now, I do not see it going anywhere. From the countless makeup tutorials to waking up an hour earlier than I had to, I know that makeup will always be there for me. Just like they say about tattoos, my makeup will never wake up one day and tell me that it doesn't love me anymore. Makeup may very well be one of my true loves.
