Whoever first said, "Freshman year is the best year of your life" was truly not lying. When I think about how far I've come since move in day, I just cannot bear for this year to be over. Time fliesThere is nothing quite like freshmen year move in day. From unloading all your stuff to making your room look perfect, it is all an experience. The combination of excitement and nervousness is indescribable. You'll remember how that felt forever.

1. Leaving my roommate.

Whether you and your roommate became best friends or not, they went through this entire experience alongside you. They were there through the hard times, and there through all of the good times. Saying goodbye to them for the summer will not be easy.

2. No more "firsts."

The first college sporting event, first college class, first friendships, and the first night out... These are all "firsts" we will never get back. If only we had treasured these moments more.

3. No more "But I'm a freshman" excuse.

We've all used this excuse more than we probably should have this year. Whether it was for failing an exam, or getting lost on campus, it worked. Sadly, it only works for one year.

4. The mistakes.

Although these may not be our proudest moments, they define who we are. Everyone makes mistakes freshmen year; plenty of them. But they shape us into the people we are at the end of the year.

5. Move in day.

Moving out of the home you've known for 18 years is a roller coaster of emotions. The combination of excitement and nervousness is indescribable. The stress of unpacking all of your things and the fun of decorating your first room are things you'll always remember.

6. Dorm life.

We may have complained about this all year, but it really is part of the freshmen experience. You made some of your best friends here, and made so many memories. You will miss everyone on your floor; undoubtably.

7. Exploring campus.

The first year, we had no idea where anything was. Being able to explore an entirely new place and find some of our favorite spots was an adventure we all embarked on.

8. The memories.

You truly make some of the best memories during your first year of college. We made so many new best friends and had some of our best nights. You'll remember them forever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
