It has come to that time where politics seems to be the main topic for everything. Hillary this, Trump that, republicans this, democrats that. Every time you log in to Facebook, watch the news, or have a conversation it is all based around the theme of the 2016 presidential election. If you're anything like me... this is a topic you hate.
Although there a good amount of Hillary and Trump supporters, there is also a lot of people who are disgusted by our options. For me personally, this election isn't about who will run the country better, but who is going to screw it up the least. For our country's most important job, we have somehow nominated two terrible options and here is why.
Hillary is known for not being the most honest person, and Trump is known for not thinking before he speaks. So on one hand you have someone who is probably lying to you about all of these changes this country will see, and on the other you have someone who is honestly telling you about all the crappy changes this country will see. So which is better? You have Benghazi or you have banning a religion. You have deleted emails or isolation by a wall. Someone who has made fun of John Mccain for being captured, and a disabled man or someone who has lied to everyone. America is deciding between who is the lesser of two evils.
Now, you can argue that Hillary and Trump are not all that bad, I guess. Yes, both of them have done nice things for people. Donald Trump housed Jennifer Hudson, dispatched his plane for the need of a sick child, has given money to those he felt deserved it. Hillary Clinton has fought hard for women rights, had a role in killing Osama Bin Laden, and sought to find better health care plan. They have both done good things in their life, but do good deeds really make you qualified to run a country?
Whenever I hear Trump speak all I can hear is hate and ignorance, whenever Hillary speaks I can't tell if she is telling the truth. I don't want to vote in an election where I'm deciding who will suck less at their job. I want it to be hard to decide because both of the candidates are so over qualified, honest, and trust worthy, that I would know that they would both do a great job. I don't want to have to settle on the president of my country.
