Best friends are the reason life is so amazing. I know that without my best friends I would probably fall apart. These are just a few reasons why I absolutely love my besties.
They are theĀ ultimate support system. Sometimes that means they need to tell you that your eyeliner is at raccoon level, and sometimes itās even more.
When they just know something is wrong. The hardest thing to do is to tell someone that something is wrong, but you donāt have to tell your best friend. After spending so much time together, best friends gain a sixth sense: they always know when youāre having a bad day. No matter how much you try to fake a smile, they can see right through it.
When they donāt judge you. If you want to eat an entire box of pizza, ice cream, and banana split trail mix from the Sundry, they will join you. Thereās no reason to eat a salad every day. Live a little.
When theyāre up for anything. You want to go to Walmart for absolutely no reason, theyāll go. You want to drive to the beach at 5:00 in the morning, call āem up. You want to go to a frat and dance the night away, get her drink ready. Best friends are always up for whatever crazy, spontaneous thing you want to do.
When they stay up with you until 6:00 a.m. talking about life. No one in their right mind would miss an entire nightās sleep just to listen to you talk about how much you hate your ex-boyfriend ā¦except her.
When you have Disney movie marathons. Thereās no better way to relive your childhood than staying up late watching Hercules, Mulan, and every other Disney movie on Netflix with your bestie. Bringing out the face masks and nail polish just adds to the fabulous bonding.
When they take care of you. The worst time in college is when youāre sick and your mom isn't there to take care of you. Then your best friend knocks on your door with egg drop soup and ginger ale and makes everything better.
When they bring you back to reality. It's fine to get a little wild, but that can get out of control. Your best friend is the only one who will tell you like it is. She'll help you settle down and focus on what matters in life.
