Emotionally ruined by Shonda Rimes, but I'm still pushing through

Grey's has been going strong for a long time now. I won't give up on this show. Here's why:

1. I'm in too deep to call it quits

13 seasons deep. I can’t turn back now. No one can help me.

2. I try to get my friends into it

It worked. Well, only with one friend.

3. Even though my favorites are dead and/or gone, I still come back for more

I can’t help but still watch the show and see what happens to Mer and the rest of the cast.

4. The season finales

It keeps you wanting more.... and more.... and more!

5. Binging all the seasons

I binged all 11 seasons before season 12 even premiered. And I have no shame.

6. I plan to binge again

Yeah.. I don’t have a problem.

7. I thought about switching to med school

But in reality, I wouldn’t make a great doctor. I’ll just stick with what I have now.

8. It keeps you on your toes

As much as I hate when they cut to commercial when something juicy happens, it makes me not want to get up. I just want to stay in the spot I’m in now. And wait until the commercials are over and done with.

9. You start to feel a connection with the characters

You know you’re in too deep when you feel like you have a connection with any of the characters.

10. I always have the show to give me a good cry

Okay, this might sound crazy, but sometimes I just need a good cry and I just rewatch any given episode and start to cry.

11. You feel like you're actually apart of their life

You forget your current situation for the duration of the show. You feel like you’re there experiencing everything.

12. The lessons that are taught

Each episode is usually Meredith, but not always. Each episode has an important lesson. A lesson to be remembered.

13. The plot twists

Like, you really didn’t see these things coming.

14. The messy relationships

Better than anything in real life

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
