Why Gilmore Girls Is The Best Show
Hollywood Reporter

Since Gilmore Girls made its way to Netflix about two years ago, I have now completed the entire series three times all the way through; it's one of the many shows I keep on rotation at all times.

I have now started watching it through for the fourth time and it got me thinking -- Gilmore Girls is a classic and I do believe it is one of the best shows to ever grace my Netflix account.

Here are a few reasons I think so.

1. Lorelei's self-deprecating humor is everything.

2. They understand that there is no reason to wake up early.

3. They love food. They are almost always eating and they literally do not care.

4. Everything they say can sum up my feelings about everything.

5. Sookie is the kind of person that everyone needs in their life. She is enthusiastic about everything, but not in a way that makes you want to hate her.

6. Despite her incredible work ethic and genius level grades, Rory understands college like the best of us.

7. They are completely unashamed of their love for coffee and I feel like this is how we should feel about the things we love.

8. They know that the best way to have problems is to avoid them all together.

9. Did I mention the sass? (also, this gif is everything, am I right?)

10. Lastly, Lorelei and Rory have the weirdest mother daughter relationship that I hope everyone aspires to have with their own mothers.

All in all, Gilmore Girls is full of wit, jokes, and unrealistic mother-daughter relationship expectations. I'll never get tired of the clever comebacks and the endless humor is everything that I hope to be "when I grow up."

Also, this gif accurately expresses my love for this show.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
