We all love and know the main characters from the show of all shows, "Friends." They are the ones who made us laugh until we cried, but what you might not have realized is all of the lessons they taught us and how they are all each a little piece of ourselves. Whether you were a “Friends” fan from the beginning, or you just started your Netflix binge, they’ve always been there for you and you’re there for them, too.
1. Chandler’s incessant humor.
Could my life be any more stressful? Apparently, yes. You had a rough day at work and the only thing that can make you laugh is Chandler’s sarcastic wit and expressions. His luck, or rather lack of, and series of unfortunate life experiences remind you that your life isn’t as bad as it could be. So hang in there!
2. Phoebe’s quirky lifestyle.
Phoebe’s carefree and cheerful lifestyle reminds you that it’s OK to still be a child at heart, even a little weird or out of the box. She reminds us to be ourselves and to not let others disturb what you believe in. Her character encourages us to sing out loud, no matter the lyrics.
3. Joey’s love for food and his friends.
Joey shows us to always be protective of our friends. Joey is the epitome of true friendship and a loyal heart right down to the core. He always reminds us to protect, love, and care for our friends and family against all odds. We also learn we aren't the only ones who don't like to share food...and that it's okOKay. Joey is an example of self-confidence, something everyone must gain.
4. Ross and his nerdiness.
You have a specific hobby or passion that all of your friends make fun of you for? Who cares? Love with everything you got. Ross helps us understand that knowledge and strength can always make you happy, stand out and give you something to strive for. His intelligence is admirable and reminds us to always keep in touch with our mature voice of reason.
5. Rachel's failures and successes.
At some point in our lives, it'll be time to say goodbye to mom and dad’s house and start your own independent life. Rachel was with us every step of the way and we learned that you can do anything you set your mind to. Things may start out rough, real rough, but if you keep trying you can make it to the top. Not to mention, we all want Rachel’s hair and clothes.
6. Monica's cleanliness.
Monica always makes us feel better knowing we aren’t the only ones who are strict on coasters and home maintenance. Monica has a strength that can break walls and teaches us to stay tough. She also has our backs when it comes to pulling the inner fat kid out from behind those doors you closed a long, long time ago.
