Family is something we have no choice in. Basically, we are assigned to our parents and then get stuck with whatever siblings were already there or that are coming. Your parents could be complete weirdos and your siblings could actually be sent from the Undertaker. I mean it's almost unfair...unless you get lucky.

My family is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Sure, I didn't get a choice in who my weirdo parents were, but I wouldn't change them for the world. Parents are a blessing. They literally HAVE to love you, even when it is incredibly painful and difficult (thank you Mom and Dad for sticking with me in those times).

Moms and dads are dorky and more often than not, complete goobers, but where would we be without them? They pass on their weirdness and silly mannerisms to us without hesitation. Basically, they have no chill. My parents have taught me how to be a goober and to be the biggest dork there is and I couldn't imagine it any other way. Because, through all their weirdness, they have so much love; it's remarkable.

There is no love like a parents love for their child. They would do anything for their children, even if it means having to deal with our horrible teenage years (God bless all of you). It's proof that if a parent can love a 13 year-old girl, they can love anything. Having a lifetime of unconditional love is something that's indescribable, it's something that's hard to wrap your brain around. They would do anything for you, no matter the cost. Being loved like that is the best feeling in the world. It's a feeling that makes the world go round.

Siblings. Almost everyone has them, and they are either a hit or a complete miss (probably because you told them they were adopted their whole life). However, the ones that are a hit are the best part about growing up. They help you deal with those incredibly dorky parents of yours. Picking on you is their special talent, and they know how to do every little thing that bothers you. Thankfully though, they always have your back and would protect you against anything.

Even though everyone complains about siblings, they rock. They're your best friends that you don't have to make any effort to have. A life long best friend that looks like you, thinks like you and will always (deep, deep down) love you.

My family is the best thing that has ever happened to me because all of these things are true. My parents are so dorky, but they are the best people I know. My brother may be the biggest pain, but he's my best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

My parents gave me my grandparents and my aunts and uncles and my godparents and my cousins and shoot, even my dog. All these people make my world complete. My family is irreplaceable, as I imagine everyones is. The time we spend together creates the best memories. All of us make up our own tiny little world, and it's the happiest place in the universe.

I couldn't be more thankful for my family, and want to thank all the families out there for all the love. Without love, it would be a bleak world. Love makes it all worth it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
