Out of every season in the year the best one has to be fall. Sure, winter may come very close because of snow and Christmas, but fall just has that perfect combination of awesome stuff that makes it the best season. Here is why fall is so special, and why it is really is the best season.
Fall is a comfortable time of year. It's not too hot or too cold, but comfortably cool enough for everyone to break out their favorite hoodie, sweater, or scarf. Fall is also a beautiful time of the year. Leaves give up their natural colors in exchange for hues of vibrant oranges and red. Painting the world around us in a fantastical image that always makes us stop in our tracks to admire it. There is not too much rain or storms, and allergies die down as pollen spores go into hibernation for the season.
No one can forget pumpkins either, and how Halloween is just around the corner. As one of the nations most popular holidays, it is truly exciting to see all the pumpkins and decorations in the stores. No holiday is more exciting to young people as Halloween. It gives us a fun chance to try new costumes out and express ourselves in new ways. The thrill of spooky and frightening monsters gives us an excitement that we can hardly find throughout any other time of the year. Then, if you are lucky enough, you might stumble upon a Renaissance Faire or two. These are really popular in the fall season, and they are lots of fun if you enjoy reenactments or history.
We cannot forget Thanksgiving either. If there is one thing people like, it is good food with good company. We look forward to those precious pies, stuffing, and turkey that only seem to come once a year. Then everyone either goes to sleep or enjoys watching the football games that stream from sunup to sundown. Yet while all of those things are pretty good on their own, they are better with loved ones.
Aside from the fun stuff, fall is also a great time to re-invent one's self and have a new start. This works well, especially for young people who start school every fall with the hopes of making this year better than their last. Fall seems to be that time where everything over the past year is wiped clean; as we see the leaves change color we hope to make changes ourselves.
Fall is just that magical time of year where we all change things up a little bit. The Earth changes colors, we change clothes, and the calendar changes our holiday celebrations. It is almost like we step into this bright world full of merriment that gives us little joys the farther we go into it. To some, that joy comes in the form of dancing skeletons. To others, it comes in the form of food and football. And yet to some, it comes in the form of pumpkin spice and cinnamon everything. In the end, we always go all out when celebrating this fall season; it brings out the fun and creativity in us, and we always share it with the ones we care about most.
