Why Fall Is The Best Season For Moments

People love the summer because of all the things you get to do with the warm weather, people love the winter because with all the snow that falls only brings Christmas closer, and people love the spring because it means that the snow is finally gone and summer is around the corner.

The one season that doesn't get enough attention is the fall season. Fall is easily my favorite season and I have many reasons to back up why fall is my favorite season. Those reasons that it's my favorite has nothing to do with Halloween (my favorite holiday), the weather, or any pumpkin spice thing.

Fall is my favorite season simply because of the unpredictability. I am fortunate enough to live in the Midwest where the weather is almost as unpredictable as this upcoming election. Some days it can be hot, warm, or cold and I just like the different temperatures that occur over the season. Also, seeing the leaves fall off the trees makes the surroundings look extra unique.

Why I love fall the most though is simply because of the sports that occur. How can it be any better? The baseball season is heading into the playoffs, hockey is about to start, and Americas most popular sport football finally kicks off after months and months of waiting.

Other than Christmas, fall is the season that essentially brings family and friends closer together. Sure, we can spend time with them during the summer but I feel our mind is so focused on being outside we can easily drift away from building stronger relationships with loved ones and instead focusing on the moment we have occurring with the event we are at. Sports brings people together, fall arises many holidays, and the start of many things at once can bring people close together. Fall brings things like Halloween, pumpkin patches, and Thanksgiving all of those things are moments that we have happen in our lives in which those moments are created by the people we are with family or friends. Building moments with loved ones is something I think some people don't focus on which is why I believe fall is the perfect season for creating moments.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
