On November 18, 2016, Harry Potter fans got the best gift they could ask for- yet another Harry Potter movie. However, this time it took place in New York City and had Newt Scamander as the main character. There are talks that "Fantastic Beasts" is going to be a 5-part series, so Harry Potter fans can continue to live with the series they grew up with.

1. Eddie Redmayne is amazing in everything he does.

This actor has done everything from musicals and biographical movies about scientists to a movie about the first transgender surgery in the world to, now, Harry Potter. There really is nothing he cannot do.

2. The soundtrack is different in the best possible way.

The soundtrack for "Fantastic Beasts" is so different from the other "Harry Potter" soundtracks, but that is not at all a bad thing. This movie features a new plot and a new setting, so the soundtrack fits.

3. There is so much going on in the plot that it is impossible to be bored.


From action to love to comedy, this movie has something for everyone. Things can be difficult to follow at times, but if you pay attention while watching the movie, you will be able to catch things.

4. The opening sequence is epic.

The opening sequence takes a glimpse at various newspaper articles about the antagonist of the film. Pay attention to these as they are an important part of the movie.

5. It's another way to carry on the Harry Potter series.

The movie magic lives on! Harry Potter fans, old and new, get to live in a magical world for a little while longer, even if it is not Hogwarts or does not involve Harry, Ron, or Hermione.

6. The special effects are amazing bar none.

The people who did the special effects on this movie deserve awards. The special effects did not overpower the movie, appearing only where it made sense. They aligned perfectly with the plot.
