A-Day is an all-day event in Auburn that is centered around the spring football scrimmage. This year's A-Day, however, will definitely be centered around the University Program Council's block party, which will take place after the game. The party is Ke$ha, Nelly, and Nick Jonas and will take place at Toomer's Corner on April 18 at 5 p.m. As a bonus, it will be totally free for students and other A-Day attendees.
UPC really decided to throw it back to 2009 this year. Nevertheless, the Auburn student body (mostly the females) is pumped. I'm guessing everyone will be brushing their teeth with a bottle of Jack that morning because it is about to get hot in here. This year's event is even better because there are unlimited tickets, so you don't have to worry about not getting tickets in time. Toomer's Corner won't have seen this many people since the 2013 Iron Bowl, and you know you have always wanted to see Ke$ha with 80,000 of your closest friends.
If you want to take a ride with me (the puns are endless), I will be going to the block party in hopes that Nick Jonas decides to take his shirt off because those abs are my drug. I still get jealous of people who have already met him. Needless to say, this concert will bring back every jam session, heartbreak, and awkward dance you had in the ninth and tenth grade, but it is bound to be a good time. Even if you are not into our high school heroes, everyone will be out at Sky Bar or wherever you love to go, so make sure to be in town.
If you are still not feeling it, here is the ultimate A-Day playlist to get you in the mood to jam to some Nelly.
