Why Disneyland Is The Happiest Place on Earth
Alycia Daniel

There hasn't been a time in my life where Disneyland hasn't been in my life. The first time I went I was one and now I'm about to be twenty. Disneyland has always been my vacation place, my favorite getaway, and my happy place.

Yes, I know Disneyland is expensive but it really is the happiest place on earth. And here's why:

It's an escape from the real world:

Once I enter the park I'm able to leave the real world behind. And enter a new world of happiness. I'm able to forget about what I've been stressing about or leave any other worries that I have behind.

You get to act like a kid again:

No matter how old you are whether you are 5, 25, or 50 your able to act like a kid. Because no one cares if you wear funny Mickey ears or dress up. And it makes Disneyland that more special because if you were to do that anywhere else other than Disney there would be people that would look at you strange.

You see smiles everywhere:

No matter which way you turn your head you see everyone smiling and having a good time. It makes you want to smile as well.

The magic of Disneyland:

There really is magic when you are in Disneyland. Everyone is over flowed happiness. The way cast members are willing to go out of there way to make your day magical when your there.

The shows:

Whether it's a parade, the shows during the day, or the fireworks no matter what you watch in the park you leave with a huge grin on your face. Maybe even some tears too.

Of course the rides:

Disneyland is an amusement park so of course the rides are a big part of why it's the happiest place on earth. But just waiting in line for the rides is my favorite part because I'm able to talk to whoever I am with at the park about anything. It makes the time you spend with your loved ones more special as well.

Everyone has their own different reasons why Disneyland really is the happiest place on earth. But these are mine. It just brings a smile to my face thinking about Disneyland. I hope Disneyland brings as much joy to me as it does to you when you visit.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
