Genius Quotes

It's a universally known fact that boys are stupid, some more than others. But, no matter how stupid we may think they are, we can't live without them...or can we? Or maybe girls are just dating the wrong type of guys. Older guys make for better, healthier and happier relationships and here are some reasons why:

1. They're more mature.

Every girl knows that guys their age just aren't mature enough for their liking. Older guys are a closer match to you as far as maturity levels go. They're mature but they still know how to have fun. It's a win/win.

2. They have real goals.

Older guys' only concerns aren't whether or not he can shotgun more beers in an hour than his friends. They're more concerned about where they want to be in five years, where they want to live and how they're going to make their life better.

3. They're experienced.

Chances are that if you're dating an older guy, you're not his first serious relationship. He may have had one, he may have had a few. He knows what a real relationship entails and doesn't.

4. They're not worried about what their friends think.

Most guys are constantly worried about their friends telling them that they're "whipped" or "tied down" when really they're just trying to be a good boyfriend. Older guys will take their friends' advice into consideration, but they won't let it dictate their relationship.

5. Commitment is *less* scary to them.

Not saying that all older guys are ready to settle down, but they've definitely thought about it at least once. Even if marriage isn't really their thing, they are still pretty willing to commit to you as your one and only.

6. They won't get caught up in the petty he said/she said stuff.

Mature guys won't waste time on the little things. He's not worried about gossip or side chatter and if something is up, he's going to talk to you first.

7. They're more willing to negotiate and compromise.

Older guys know that in a relationship, things are never "my way or the highway". Negotiation and compromising are major keys in a relationship.

8. They don't like going to bed angry.

Couples argue; it's a known fact. But rather than going to bed angry, older guys know it's important to work things out when the argument cools down.

9. They know your value.

Odds are, your guy has been through some heartaches and made some mistake that he doesn't want to make again. He knows the concept of "you don't know what you have until it's gone" and won't let you forget how much you mean to him.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
