I never saw how much we actually looked alike. I always remember you being around for the important holidays, even if you were in Lexington. Once you moved back to where we all were, I've realized how much we really were alike. Our boyfriends are similar, always with cows or hunting, as we kinda sit back and watch. I'm growing up to look like you, which had always been my wish.
Since I never had a big sister to go to for every boy problem and drama that had happened, it had always been you. Random texts from you to see how the boyfriend is and even taking a trip to the zoo and getting stuffed unicorns. You've done my makeup for my junior and senior year prom and I know on my wedding day you'll be in the room helping me get ready. Trust me, I'll be there with you too. You're my only first cousin, which really fills the big sister spot, and you're the oldest and I'm the youngest so we don't have anything to ever argue about. Growing up without you in the shadows holding my hand in the distance, I most likely would've gone totally mad some nights when I didn't like my parents and I probably would've made some bad decisions. So, thank you, for not letting me go crazy in my teen years, but still keep a good grip now that I'm in college.
I'm older than you by less than 4 months, yet you're still a grade lower than me. However, I have never had so much in common with anyone, ever. Having someone who matches me basically every time we see each other without even planning, having a 4 year old obsession with Disney anything, being as clumsy as me, and literally having almost all the same illnesses. You are the definition of my twin. I can feel when someone is wrong and will always be there to catch you when you don't want to stand. I'll always weird out your boyfriend as long as you weird out mine. When you make a mistake, don't worry, I probably did the same thing. We both went on amazing mission trips that changed us for the better, you being in the Dominican Republic and me being in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
I think why we get along so well is that no one can understand how wacked our family is except for us. Who else is going to be able to relate to The Annual Reliford-Pickett Christmas Party??? I don't see myself being as goofy and weird with anyone else without being judged. We've came to each other with some deep stuff and have also been laughing so hard I cry. I'm always the one to shed the tears after you make great jokes at OK Betty's. We now live 15 minutes from each other and this time next year, I may very well be coming home to you in our dorm room. Laytham and Walker are now taking on college together, so we'll see how much we can mess things up now.
