Why I Can't Wait For The Super Bowl

Why I Can't Wait For The Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is pretty much a national holiday in America, and it's great because there's something for everyone to love. You don't like sports? Fine, watch it for the funny commercials. You're against humor for some ungodly reason? There's always the food to look forward to. And if you don't like the food? Well then there really is no help for you in this world.

The Super Bowl is fun even if your beloved team isn't actually in it. I'm a Giants fan, so I accepted very early in the season that they were not going to make it to the Super Bowl, but that doesn't mean I won't watch it.

Whenever you watch a sports game, you always end up favoring one team. So,while your team of choice may not be playing, there's always going to be a competitive edge to watching the game!

Everybody and their mother also looks forward to the commercials. If you're not looking forward to the newest Doritos commercial this year, you're just lying to yourself. And what about the next Budweiser commercial?

I mean, how can you resist that?! Exactly—you can't. Honestly, it's worth watching the entire Super Bowl just to see a cute puppy commercial.

Speaking of puppies, there's always the Puppy Bowl to look forward to as well. Fuzzy little puppies running around waiting to be adopted—it's impossible not to love that, unless, of course, you have a heart of stone.

Then there's the food. I'm not going to lie, food is a real driving force for me in everyday life, and the Super Bowl is no different. Mini hotdogs? A mountain of dips? Buffalo wings? If that's not heaven then I don't know what is.

If you've ever wondered what true beauty is, this stadium of food would be it. I dare you to show me something more beautiful than this, an impossible task, I know.

The Super Bowl is really just a great chance to hang out with friends and family, have a little friendly competition, and a lot of great food. So have fun with it! Invite people over, learn how to use your oven (I'm looking at you college students—ramen is not a proper Super Bowl food), and enjoy it. And for God's sake, pray that the Patriots don't make it; it's really not fair for a team to be that good all the time.
