Looking for motivation to finish that essay or maybe read six chapters? Well, look no further! Motivation can be a hard thing to find despite the fact that it can be free. However, as college students, we all know that without motivation (and not the free type), most of us won’t be graduating anytime soon, let alone get out of bed. So here are some steps to help you find the motivation to get that essay (or anything else) done:
- Go on Facebook: If you don’t have a Facebook make one.
- Search around, try to find a meme page (this will help your creative juices flow).
- Tag as many people as you can and share almost every BuzzFeed Tasty video you can find (as long as they have cheese).
- Realize that Facebook is NOT going to write your paper.
- Also realize that Buzzfeed offers hundreds of cool quizzes. (Because lets be serious, can you really write an essay without knowing what type of potato you would be?)
- Take about 5-98 quizzes.
- Go back to your essay and put your name down, cause hey, how are you supposed to write a paper when your identity is up in the air?
- Stare at the screen for 39 seconds, but not 40 or else you might go blind (or worse, you might actually start writing).
- Realize that you didn’t find the motivation needed. (But don’t worry!!)
- Get yourself up and strut that “I-don’t-know-what-the-hell-to-do” stuff right into the kitchen (or dining hall, just find food).
- Open the fridge and stare for a whole minute.
- Close the fridge, then open it right back up because who knows, maybe the thing you’re looking for might just actually appear!
- Grab the strawberries and pineapple and put them on the counter, that way you can get to the chocolate cake towards the back of the fridge.
- Put away fruit and take entire cake to your room.
- While you eat, think about what makes a good essay: the date, a title, size 12 Times New Roman, double spaces, and most importantly, proper margins!
- Once you’ve completed this, please follow the previous instructions until the night before your paper is due and then cry as hard as you can directly over your keyboard, because just like a garden grows with water and dirt, an essay grows with college tears and a soaking wet keyboard!
Good luck.
