As spring break is closely approaching, us college students everywhere are anxiously waiting it. Being a full-time college student can be very stressful, leaving us all waiting for that one week we get to travel and be free. Whether you are going to Siesta Key to ride the waves and sit in the white sand, or going home for some much-needed relaxation, it is important for all college to students to have a week of escape from the rough realities of school life, and here’s why!
We spend a lot of time inside of a classroom or lecture hall during the week.
College students spend approximately 40 hours a week going to class; that's as much as a full-time job! We also have to take into consideration how many hours college students spend studying in the library and doing homework during the week.
As the weather gets warmer, we get more excited for the end of the semester.
The semester seems like it never will end. When the weather becomes tolerable again, all college students can think about is getting out of that lecture hall and into a swimming pool! Going on vacation during spring break gives college students the opportunity to have a little warm weather and sun before the summer months come about.
Midterms just ended.
College students just finished the dreaded week of studying late and taking six midterms. Getting away and relaxing is the perfect reward for so much hard work.
It’s one of our last spring breaks!
They always say college is the best years of our lives. Unfortunately, those four years fly by faster than our high school years did. We only have so much time before we're stepping into the adult world… then we won’t know what the meaning of vacation even is.
Going on a vacation gives us time to rejuvenate.
Lets be honest, we all slack of a bit once the end of the semester comes near. We get sick of doing the same daily routine. Getting out of our school town and onto a beach will allow us to rejuvenate so we can come back refreshed and ready to finish the semester strong!
To all of those students going on a spring break trip, live it up and enjoy it! You’ve worked hard all year and deserve to be carefree and to explore! Pack your bags, put on some sunblock, and party! Because before we know it, finals will be here!
