Olivia.. Julee.. Mom... and Emma. What do all these people have in common? They are all my persons. When you think about who your "person" is, most of the time people think that it can only be one person. Which is not the case at all. Throughout life you will make friends and you will lose friends. But the people that stand by your side through the hardest/worst times imaginable. Those are the people you call your person.
Olivia is my person because for some odd reason we think, act and talk the same way. You would think we were personality twins. I can talk to her about absolutely anything and know she will feel the same way but also say things to make me think different about a situation.
Julee is my person because she can make me laugh until my stomach aches. She makes me feel more confident in myself than I ever can alone. A best friend to me since we were in 7th grade I would have to say we have been through so much, but it has brought us so close to the point that we qualify each other as sisters.
My mom is my person because she is my backbone, she is my support system. Throughout my entire life she has been my only parent figure and I am truly blessed for that. She is my mother but she is also my dad and my best friend. Someone so strong like my mom is and always will be an inspiration for me.
Emma is my person because she makes me feel comfortable to come to her about everything, judgement free. She is someone that you can vent to, and trust with your life. Emma can bring out a part of me that a lot of people don't see. But because of that I have learned more about myself than I ever have.
As stated in Grey's' Anatomy "you're my person", being someones person is what Olivia, Julee, Emma and my mom do for me every day of my life. They encourage, boost and stand by my side no matter what. When you think about your person, think about what they have done to you as a person, not physically but emotionally. Have they caused more happiness than you can produce for yourself? Have they caused you to love with all your heart? And most importantly have they made you a better person? Having amazing people in your life takes away some of the pain that life itself causes.
So who is your person?
