5 Things to Know About Doctor Strange
Marvel Comics

Captain America Civil War, as predicted, has rocked the theaters in a positive way! Marvel is on a roll with the year of 2016 and some are a little skeptical if they will finish the year strong. If you do not know, Marvel Studios produces two movies every year - last year it was "Avengers Age of Ultron" and "Ant-Man" while this year it is "Captain America Civil War" and "Doctor Strange. Now you may be asking yourself, who is this doctor strange and what does he do? Below is a link to the world premiere trailer of Strange's upcoming movie:

Now, underneath is spoilers to the Marvel comic line of Doctor Strange and may end up being a spoiler to the film that will be released this November. You have been warned.

1.) A World-Renowned Neurosurgeon

Stephen Vincent Strange earned his medical degree at the University of Columbia in a record time. Afterwards, moving to New York City, many people recognized that Stephen had a talent in his profession and grew rapidly into popularity. Persons from around the globe would come to be helped by Doctor Strange. Unfortunately, with his rapid succession, Stephen would find himself fall into a bad case of arrogance.

2.) A Selfish Jerk

Egotistical and greedy, Stephen's cold and callous love for his patients began and ended at the bill. He would often find himself uncaring towards those who could not afford the ever-growing bill of Doctor Stephen Strange. After the death of his beloved mother, Beverly, his father became seriously ill - but Stephen refused to be by his side during the last moments of his father's life for he was far too busy with his own life.

3.) An Accident

Remember, the comics were written way back in the day, so around 1963 Stephen was involved in a terrible car accident. Strange's life was in good condition, but unfortunately, his hands suffered serious nerve damage - which ruined his career. Stephen would proceed to live his life in bars and committing to a life of shady medical procedures just to get by.

4.) The Ancient One

After hearing rumors of a mystical healer known as The Ancient One, Stephen Strange set out on a journey to find this Ancient One to restore his hands to full health. Little did he know that he would end up being shown the ability of true magic, other dimensions, and how to convert his spirit into energy by his new master. Through several years of training, Stephen Strange would use his new abilities to fight off villains from other dimensions and protect the people of Earth becoming the now selfless Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme!

5.) The Strange New Movie

I will admit, I do not know what to think about a Doctor Strange movie coming out later this year. The character himself has a lot of abilities that are different from the likes of Captian America or Ironman. Stephen Strange has the ability to teleport, fly, manipulate time, read minds, move things with his mind, create illusions, cast spells, and never age. It's going to be a different superhero movie than what we have become accustomed to in our day and age and I guess because of that I am a little skeptical of this upcoming film. However, I am sure that Marvel Studios will deliver a brilliant film that will make Doctor Strange a big hit at the box office like their other properties.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
