White Wash 2016

Making America Caucasian Again

White Wash 2016

Sitting in traffic this morning after what had to be one of the most disappointing nights in my life, I came to a realization about the situation that has helped me cope a small bit.

The situation I’m referring to is, of course, Donald Trump winning the election. I watched in horror, for hours, as the polls closed and the numbers started rolling in. I only half-heard the dribble spewing from the political analyst's mouths all evening. Though this morning as I sat and stared at the back of an SUV, who had no idea how to function normally at a red light, I snickered to myself and mumbled “must have voted for Trump”, it dawned on me.

One of the analysts said, “We now know who Trump's silent majority was, the lower class working white man.” They didn’t vote in the primaries, they threw the numbers off; everything projected from that time was completely bogus.

This silent majority finally decided to speak, and they came out to do so in droves. Rural areas had record poll turn outs. As I sat there watching this country completely unfold and go from the most powerful nation in the world, to officially the biggest joke, I realized what happened.

First: The lower class working white man was tired of a black president, we got our votes through successfully two terms back to back, there was no way in hell they were going to let a woman win, that would be too much like progression.

Secondly: The lower class working white man needed hope.

Remember the same feeling of desperation after suffering through a Bush administration? All we wanted was change, a new breath of life in the death chamber that was the Oval Office. We wanted a fresh face. Hell anyone BUT McCain, he looked like he would die at any time.

Obama was young, charismatic, a politician for the people, not someone looking to help the rich get richer, instead he had solid ideas on how to help the poor. There was a problem, though. He’s black. While touted as one of the most successful American Presidents in history, people were so concerned about his ethnicity and heritage, that the scandal over his birth certificate has become a running joke for the man. So as you can see, a Black POTUS, well, that doesn’t really work for the lower class white American male.

White entitlement reared it’s ugly head and whispered in the ear of the poor working class white man and said “Are you gonna listen to that mofo? He don't know bout what you need Jimmy, hell we don’t even know if he’s Murican”

(Read that last line to yourself in the best country accent you can produce)

The same overwhelming feeling of love and hope and positivity at a better future that we all experienced that night back in 2008, when we ran out into the streets screaming and cheering, well that happened for the “silent majority” last night. Shotguns were shot, confederate flags were worn like capes and wives were smacked for backsassin’ in America last night folks.

But honestly, think about what they go through. Think about everything the poor working class white man has to endure.

Tell me why they wouldn’t need a man’s man like Trump in office.

They work hard, every day, but yet immigrants and blacks take ALL the good jobs. No matter how much they try to please their whore wives, they’re still coming up short and discolored, and it looks creepy. Deep down they know that perfectly bronzed baby isn’t theirs, hence their wives being whores. She loves the BBC. I’m pretty sure it’s Obama’s fault that their favorite NASCAR driver didn’t win any races this year. Their dog pissed on their good work boots last week. The siding on their trailer is falling off. Johnny just got a new ATV from a disability settlement but Mike didn’t. These are all things Trump can surely fix for this fine demographic of people.

Now that Obama is out, Trump will work tirelessly to make America like a 1950’s Pleasantville again. Where the wife is waiting at the door every day as they come home from their low paying management job, with a beer in hand, ready to drop to her knees at a moment’s notice and service her husband because GODDAMN IT he is AMERICAN and he voted for Trump.

What saddens me the most is that a horrific slogan “Make America Great Again” and random circle talking, because he has never mentioned one solid idea or policy, could overwhelmingly win over a majority of ANY people.

Please remember, poor lower class white males, that Trump is a business man, and a fairly successful one at that. He has been using the backs of men like you to walk on, his whole life. He comes from money, he doesn’t understand poverty, he doesn’t understand your plight, and guess what, he’s not going to do one single solitary thing to better your life.

America just willingly let this man grab us ALL by the....

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
