They will text the guy and tell them to stop messing with your feelings or there will be consequences. If anything, after he defends your honor he is the best first person to go to when you need a shoulder to cry on and a big hug.
2. Fake boyfriend
Having a guy best friend also gives you the opportunity to have a fake boyfriend at all times of need. Need a date to the formal? Need to dodge a boy? Need to get away from a guy at a party? Your guy best friend is always there to save you and be the best fake boyfriend you will ever find.

Yes, having a strong group of girls is important and you should never leave them or trade them for the world.
