It happens sometimes a guy or girl walks into your life and it feels like you have known each other forever. You fall quickly and hard and you smile a lot and people just don’t get it. They think that you are moving too quickly and spending too much time together, but truly two months can begin to feel like two years when you connect quickly enough.

It is once and a blue moon that you will find someone who can make you feel like you have felt nothing in your life till this moment and usually those guys are the ones that you marry, but sometimes they are the guys that break your heart - it depends on your luck. When you meet this guy and the world starts going a million miles a minute you start to do the same thing everyone around you will do as well and that is to convince yourself you are moving too quickly, but you will soon realize that you stumbled on something so amazing.

When two months feels like two years you find yourself attached to the feeling of being with this person. When you are sad you begin to reach for them as much as your close friends and not in the new partner way, but in an "I have known you for so long and I need you" way. You begin to hope for a future and a life with this person and you know that it is irrational and most loves this strong fail, but you can’t help but hope.

When two months feels this long your life becomes theirs and vice versa. You start to manage life with them in a way you would manage it with your best friend making time when it is nearly impossible because you just miss them all the time. When feelings come this quickly it is like having a little piece of heaven handed to you. It is having someone to call at night when you have a bad dream and someone to grab onto when you are panicking without an awkward stage happening.

Sometimes these relationships come because they have to start long distance or partially long distance because of college, like in my case. Sometimes it is because of the way you connected in understanding one another’s life. Sometimes it is the physical attraction and those are the ones that usually end in heartbreak, but in the end you know that even if only for a short while you have something amazing.

When two months feels like two years you begin to know that everything is okay. You may not know if and when this will end but you have a piece of heaven. You cuddle and take it all in and hope that everything will be okay at least for now. When it feels like longer than it is every touch is butterflies and fireworks yet is a mature comfort. All you need is to be with that person and all you need is the hope that everything will be okay.

When two months feels like two years even when there is a disagreement your little piece of heaven will never be too far.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
