Every time the Lord asks me to jump, to take a leap of faith, I place myself back at Dún Dúchathair on the Cliffs of Aran. Most tourist think the Cliffs of Moher when they think Ireland, but these cliffs captivated me as I sat on the edge.
My feet dangled over, the wind blowing every which way as I watched the waves crash against the rocks. It's a long drop. A scary drop. I looked about as tourist didn't dare go near the unprotected edge. People looking at me like I was insane for sitting at the edge.
But that's what God calls you to do sometime.
Sit at the edge, wait, then when He tells you to jump.......jump.
Not all jumps are as high as the Cliffs of Aran... some are higher. Sometimes God calls you to jump over puddles, sometimes God calls you to jump off mountains. The point is, to trust that whatever jump you take, God will catch you.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11
