Here we are, the Class of 2016, preparing to enter adulthood. We’ve gotten this far with the help of our professors, our families, our friends and, of course, Gossip Girl. Senior year is complicated, but not as complicated as Chuck and Blair's romance. So put on a headband, pretend to sit on the Met stairs (when in reality it’s just your bed), and reminisce on your own Season One, while Gossip Girl perfectly describes senior year.
1. When you cannot begin to think about scheduling your last semester of college because you can’t even.
2. You still have to take a 7:45AM class, even though the upperclassmen always promised you wouldn't.
3. And one of your fellow classmates is just too chipper to be awake that early.
4. Only for your next class to be your Capstone.
5. And then your professor asks how your senior thesis is coming along.
6. So you just pretend that your life is not falling apart while balancing all your classes.
7. While knowing you have an assignment due tomorrow, but still avoiding all responsibilities.
8. And somehow you magically get a good grade on said assignment.
9. So you check your emails, only to be reminded about GREs, grad school, and perfecting your resume.
10. Then someone asks what your plans are for after college.
11. And you realize you never planned this far ahead in your life.
12. But there are the few seniors who actually have their life together.
13. Yet you can't even manage to do your laundry enough to have clean pants, and begin to defend your outfit choices.
14. So you put your best foot forward and walk up to Career Services on campus.
15. Only to realize once again, you’re completely unsure of everything.
16. You're about ready to give up, go buy cats, and be a cliche.
17. So you go confide in your friends, who are refusing to acknowledge you’re actually graduating in a semester.
18. But looking back on your undergraduate career, it was the best four years of your life.
