I'm a lover of all things makeup. It can be from Too Faced to Covergirl, anything makeup I want. On all levels except financially, I am a makeup guru. Here are some things you understand if you love makeup.

1. When a new product comes out

Easily one of the most exciting times of the year is when your favorite brand drops a new collection or product for all of us consumers. We are undeserving, we are undeserving.

2. It's okay to splurge

You know what, you deserve that 25 dollar mascara! And while you’re at it, splurge, and buy that 40 dollar bronzer because you need it and deserve it!

3. My makeup collection is not too big

Yes, I am going to buy that basic neutral eyeshadow palate and so what if I already have 16 other ones because this one is special! My makeup collection will never be complete, and you can’t stop me.

4. Drugstore can lowkey be kinda poppin'

You’ve learned to be boujee on a budget. Look, Maybelline and Loreal actually have some pretty nice products and they are super affordable too.

5. Sephora is basically your second home

New powder? Sephora. Just browsing? Sephora. Bored? Sephora. Sephora is a beautiful place that can do no wrong, except take all your money.

6. Perfecting a look

It’s like a mini celebration when you perfectly create not one but two winged lines, or when your contour is flawlessly blended.

7. Online shopping is dangerous

Like that new lipstick? Add to cart. Becca just released a new highlighter? Add to cart. Oh your total is $189.53? Proceed to checkout.

8. You appreciate other peoples art too

Makeup is an art form too, okay. Whenever I see someone with a beautifully blended eyeshadow look or killer cut crease, I just stop and admire what they've created. Like girl, teach me your ways.

9. Not everyday is a full beat

Now listen, especially since I'm in college and have 8 am classes, I don't always have time to wake up and spend 45 minutes on my face. Most days I'm out the door with my eyebrows done, concealer, and a little mascara.

10. I do makeup for myself

Trust me, I don't wear makeup for anyone but my pretty little self. I don't wake up and think hmm I wonder if Justin will like my nude lip and gold eyeshadow? No! I put on makeup because I like it and the way it looks on me.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
