Coming to college is a mystery within itself. Between the rollercoaster of emotions, and endless Friday nights, laying in bed watching Netflix, and eating brownies, college is college. Fresh out of highschool, you cannot wait until you are free from the reigns of your household, and rules of the parentals. However, there are quite a few things that make me want to run back home, with my tail tucked between my legs. And here they are...

1. Roommate murder mystery.

The dreaded email listing your living mate, the scariest day of them all. So... although I have been super lucky with my pairings, I have heard some nightmare stories, and I cannot imagine. Waiting for them to walk in the door like...

2. Dust on the wall.

There is literally dust everywhere, walls, floor, desk. Like, where does this even come from?

3. Running out of hot water with shampoo still in hair.

When you're entire apartment showered all at the same time, while running the laundry. LOL Yep, this has happened on more than one occasion. Oh, and it has been conditioner as well. Ladies, you know how long it takes to get five pumps of conditioner out of Puerto Rican hair?

4. Sharing the fridge.

Where am I supposed to put my large pepperoni pizza box, with all these veggies in the way?

5. Arguing over AC.

You're hot and you're cold. You're yes, and you're no. Need I say more?

6. Upstairs Neighbors.

I have written an entire article about my upstairs neighbors, so that is all I will say about that.

7. Trying to go to bed early on a Friday night, think again.

When you're an asocial member of society, and would prefer to stay in, but you're upstairs neighbors party like there is no tomorrow.

8. Money. Money. Money. MONEEEEY.

This dorm cost me what? This apartment cost me what? Erg. I would commute from home, if I35 didn't ruin my life. Overage fees. Breathe $10. Speak $30. $6 dollars per flush. $60 dollars per light turned on.

9. Not knowing when to deadbolt the door.

The infamous question, "hey, are you home?", "Can you let me in?"

10. Implement a no light policy.

Turn all lights off before they catch us, and refer to the prices above.

11. Bugs and Boys.

Ugh, they just show up so unexpectedly.

12. Wifi, that's a joke.

Using the apartment above you, maybe the one across the way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
