When You Give A Girl Two Sisters

When you give a girl two sisters, you hand her a world like no other. Especially the two I grew up with.

When you give girl two sisters, you are giving her two mentors for the rest of her life. Two extremely intelligent, hilarious, and genuine mentors. When I was growing up, I wanted to be just like them in every aspect. What sports I played, what I wore, how I behaved, it was all based on them and thankfully they were two pretty wonderful girls to try and attempt to copy. I got to grow up alongside two headstrong and stunning women, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Here's to two people I could never imagine my life without:

When you give a girl two sisters, expect her to copy your every move. She'll wear your clothes, even though they are obviously too big, and she'll put on a foolish amount of makeup to attempt looking similar in age.

When you give a girl two sisters, she'll interrupt your conversations with friends and barge into the room when she is most definitely unwanted. She'll ask to hang out with you every single time you invite friends over and attempt to go out with you too, including places the youngest sister does not need to be.

When you give a girl two sisters, she'll let you dress her up like 'Boo' "Monster's Inc." and let you paint every inch of her skin in black polka-dot's with watercolors when mom and dad aren't home. Also, later she can tell on you for getting some on the couch as if she had no part in the fiasco.

When you give a girl two sisters, especially ones that are older, she'll snitch on you for sneaking around in High School, even though she promised she would never. Later on, she will cry to you about how sorry she is, in hopes that they won't return the not-so-nice favor.

When you give a girl two sisters, she'll try to keep up with you academically. She can see how smart and on top of things that the other two are, and immediately direct her life down a similar path.

When you give a girl two sisters, eventually she will be the only child living in the house. She'll walk past the rooms in which her sisters' used to reside, and miss them with everything inside her. She'll no longer have someone to fight over the bathroom with, and no longer have someone to binge watch "Gilmore Girls" with either.

When you give a girl two sisters, you give her a life full of tear-jerking laughter and trust. You give her two people to call no matter what the situation is, no matter what time of day.

When you give a girl two sisters, you teach her how to make it through all the obstacles that are placed in her life.

Thank you to my two best friends for teaching me all that I know; thank you for teaching me how to laugh and thank you for loving me unconditionally.

XOXO, see you two in May.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
