What's Live In Lexington This Fall

Lexington has one of the most up and coming music scenes across the nation. This fall, you'll find everything from local artists to big headliners taking the stage near you. Here are just a few of the live shows that you and your friends can attend around town! Note that all events are subject to change throughout the semester.


1. The Moontower Festival on Aug. 29

Start off the first weekend of this fall semester right by heading over to the Masterson Station to see artists such as Ben Sollee, J. Roddy Watson & the Business, the Apache Relay, and the Weeks. Gates open at 10 am and music is from 11am - 11pm. Get your tickets here!

2. Lady Antebellum on Sept. 10

For all the country fans of Kentucky out there, Lady Antebellum along with Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes will be playing at Rupp Arena this year. Tickets for the Wheels Up Tour of 2015 are selling fast so get them right here!

3. Humming House on Sept. 11

Humming House is a 5 person band with captivating, strong vocals and a modern folk feel. They will be at Natasha's Bistro and Bar beginning at 9pm. Get your tickets here and be sure to call ahead to Natasha's for reservations -- there is limited seating!

4. Adia Victoria on Sept. 24

Come join Adia Victoria featuring Lexington's own Ancient Warfare at Cosmic Charlie's. This event is for ages 21 and over. Doors open at 9pm and music will begin at 10pm. Purchase your tickets here!

5. The Avett Brothers on Oct. 1

Even though it's a school night, you must definitely won't be disappointed if you join the Avett Brothers for an outstanding live show at Rupp Arena this fall! Tickets are running out so hurry and purchase them here!

6. Little Green Cars on Oct. 3

If you're one to enjoy bands such as Mumford & Sons or The Lumineers, you need to catch Little Green Cars at Cosmic Charlie's this semester. Doors open at 8 P.M. and music begins at 9 P.M. Get your tickets early here!

7. Ben Rector on Oct. 7

Don't miss Ben Rector featuring Judah and the Lion on campus at the Singletary Center for the Arts! This is a opportunity on campus that you cannot miss so purchase your tickets here!

8. The Neon Jungle Festival on Oct. 9 & 10

Trap and EDM two day festival consisting of over 20 DJ's. This event takes place at The Neon Jungle and doors will open at 5pm on Oct. 9. Go ahead and get your early bird tickets here!

9. Taylor Swift on Oct. 20

If you haven't already seen her live yet, or are just wanting to see her again, see Taylor Swift featuring Vance Joy at Rupp Arena for her 1989 World Tour. Tickets are sold here!

10. The Districts on Oct. 29 2015

Check out The Districts featuring Sun Club as they come to Cosmic Charlie's. These guys have a great sound and would be perfect to go see on a night out with your friends. Doors open at 9 P.M. and music will begin at 10 P.M. This event is 21 years and older. Get your tickets online here!

11. Two Keys Tavern every Friday

Two Keys Tavern in Lexington has Free Band Friday every Friday! This is a perfect (and cheap) way to catch some live music every week with your friends. Stay updated on events throughout the semester here!

12. WRFL

Be sure to stay updated on events that Lexington's own FM station puts together every week. They always have great chances to see live music around town. Either tune in on the radio or stay updated with shows and events here!

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day.
