What Your Lipstick Says About You

Lipstick is all the rage right now. It's the perfect accessory to a night out and it's the cherry on top of a perfect smile. But what does your lipstick color REALLY say about you? There are so many different options and the color your wearing speaks volumes.

1. Pink

You're a barbie girl in a barbie world. You probably just drove through Starbucks and you probably got a non-fat vanilla latte with no whip. You love JCrew and you're pissed because Jack Rogers take SO long to break in before they become the best shoes in the world. You are basic but you embrace it.

2. Red

Ahhh, classic. Taylor Swift is that you? You have obviously put some time and energy into perfecting that red lip and for that, girls everywhere around you respect you, if you took your time and didn't just slap it on. This lipstick is classic and timeless, you probably look extremely hot and you probably know it. You're also probably really thirsty because there's no way in heck you'd risk your lipstick by taking a drink without a straw. This color was a nice choice. It basically let's everyone know that you're the boss now.

3. Nude

You're a good girl and you know it. You are also too scared to drift out of your comfort zone, or you just have on a bad-ass smokey eye so you're playing your lips down. At the bar you really like to keep it low key but you'll go to the dance floor and move a little if your friends are there. You're a sweet girl, and you are kind. You're like the girl next door.

4. Dark Plum

I hope it's fall or winter if you chose to wear this, or I hope you're feeling really angsty and you just want to show everyone that you're not someone to mess with. This color really puts off a vibe that you really don't want to be approached that night. While this is really in style and totally cute, boys don't understand why we would wear it. You are mysterious and dark and no one better say you aren't or hell is going to break loose.

5. Black

"Mom, will you pick me up? I'm scared." -everyone that crosses your path.

The world would be a worse place without lipstick and that's all I'm going to say on the subject.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
