Almost everyone has an Instagram, and almost everyone has a specific favorite filter they love to use. Maybe it makes the picture more vibrant or the selfie look cleaner, or maybe it's the only filter who matches your black and white or greyscale feed. Either way, the go-to filter you chose says a lot about you.
Clarendon: The person who uses this filter likes to be seen as cool, has a love of leather jackets, and lipstick stained cigarettes.
Gingham: Dark and brooding, this user is usually the more cynical of the friend group and lives with the lights off.
Moon: Washed out and trendy, they like to make their feed perfectly whitewashed and subdued. Tends to go for a tea latte and doesn’t have time for your issues.
Lark: Quiet and grey, almost like a wallflower. They like to keep to themselves and only post about once a week or so.
Crema: A lover of the vintage look and most likely has a closet full of vintage store finds, also likes tacky looking jewelry and loves to over-accessorize.
Amaro: This is bohemian chic at it’s finest, like flowy patterned pants and a long layered necklace with a fresh pressed green juice in their hand.
Mayfair: See’s the world through rose colored glasses, or lenses, in this case. Free or living in their own little bubble, not much can put these people in bad moods.
Rise: Earthy, sweet, roots strong in the ground type of person. Their feed is most likely full of landscape photos and pictures of low-key performing bands at coffee shops.
Hudson: A little cold hearted, a little bit closed off. Usually posts pictures alone, or of things on their own, like a lone coffee cup on a cafe table with a book and a clever caption.
Valencia: This is the ‘basic’ of all the filters. Did you know it can really amplify that picture of your Starbucks you just took on Snapchat?
Sierra: A feed full of sunsets, most likely. Between the beach and the sun on the horizon, don’t knock the fact that they actually have some good photography skills.
Nashville: The lover of classic romance and fairytales, everything has to be staged and perfect in their photo. Usually, everything is pink, too.
