It feels like just yesterday that you were wearing shorts and a t-shirt, sitting around a bonfire on a hot summer night, and trying not to get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Well, somehow, we skipped past September and October, and Thanksgiving is upon us. While the day is meant for cherishing your loved ones and all that you are thankful for, a big part of it is the food. Families, friends, and even strangers gather together all around the world to sit down and eat. While I realize Thanksgiving meals do not look the same for everybody, there are a few basic foods that tend to show up on the majority of tables.

There's always that one dish that you look forward to more than any of the others. In case you have ever wondered what that favorite dish says about you as a person (as I'm sure most of you have), I'm here to provide you with an in-depth analysis of how your favorite Thanksgiving food and your soul are correlated. (Please note the extreme level of sarcasm and lack of knowledge in these analyses).

1. Turkey

You don't need any of the extras in your life. If you've got the basics, you're set. You have no need for any fancy things!

2. Vegetables

If out of all of the choices on the Thanksgiving table you're choosing the vegetables, you've gotta be a health nut. Somehow you've tricked your mind into thinking what's good for you is your "favorite."

3. Mashed potatoes

You are a fan of familiarity and comfort. You are also the type of person that enjoys a bowl of mac and cheese or a chicken pot pie.

4. Cranberry sauce

Nope. Stop it. No one's favorite is the cranberry sauce. If you say cranberry sauce is your favorite Thanksgiving dish, then the type of person that you are is a dishonest one.

5. Rolls

You appreciate the simple things in life. You're also the type of person who, when looking for a snack, could grab a piece of bread and be happy.

6. Wine

You have a tough time dealing with family around the holiday season. Or, you're just really smart because wine is delicious.

7. Pie

You have a child-like spirit. The best part of any meal for you is the dessert. You also like jumping off of swing sets, petting every dog you see, and picking dandelions.

8. Stuffing

You are unique. Your personality is a mix of many different traits. You can sometimes be hard to please unless you are good with the boxed stuffing, then you're very easy to please.

9. Yams

You don't necessarily like to be part of the crowd. You're a little alternative and tend to march to the beat of your own drum.

10. Gravy

You're one of those people who slathers ketchup on everything. You don't actually like any of the dishes at Thanksgiving, so you just cover everything up with the flavor of gravy.

So, there you have it. After extensive research, I was able to match up 10 key personality types with their favorite Thanksgiving foods. If your favorite food wasn't even part of this list, then congratulations, you're probably Divergent.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
