You only have about three weeks left to endure. You're tired, want to give up and are stress-eating. You've found yourself in a ditch and can't quite get out. You are trying to find that last bit of hope to make it through the rest of the semester and this just might be it. Here are five tips to help you finish the semester strong.

Set Your Alarm

Set your alarm! Get up in the morning and grab your coffee. Making sure you stick to a schedule is great way to stay organized. You'd be surprised by just how much you will feel energized by having a morning routine. Better yet, make sure you get up and have a healthy breakfast. By doing so, you will energize your body with healthy nutrients that will keep you up and running.

Don't Put Off Your Assignments

It might be tempting to hold off on that 10-page paper that's due next week. But next thing you know it is next week and you'll be in a scramble. By working ahead you'll be ready to go and won't feel crunched on time. In addition, you'll have more time to meet with your professor in office hours to go over any questions you may have. If you're lucky he or she may be able to give you some comments on your current draft! By getting a head start on your assignments, you will be able to submit your best work, which will show your professor how much you deserve that A!

Know When To Give Yourself a Break

You've been non-stop, so much you've practically moved into the library. As much as you've been working, it's important to know when to take a break. Try and get your work done during the weekdays so you can have the weekends to catch up on sleep and quality time with friends. You'd be surprised how much a relaxing weekend will give you an energy boost for the week ahead.

Create a Countdown

It might seem silly, but create a countdown! Visually seeing every day that you are one day closer to freedom will give you more of an incentive to get up and be productive. You can also create countdowns for your assignments so you can have a visual push to finish before the due date. Sometimes these visual reminders are truly necessary to give you the motivation you need to keep on going!

Be Happy

As trying as the times may seem these days, be happy! Surround yourself with positive attitudes to eliminate any excess stress you may be receiving. Study with friends and motivate each other to achieve your best. You can also buy a daily desk calendar to give you a motivational quote everyday. Being happy is better for your overall health, so not only will you have less stress, but you'll be doing your body a favor. Plus, you're in college! Enjoy these days as, although you might want your classes to be over, four years will fly by a lot faster than you think.

Summer is right around the corner! As Dory would say, just keep swimming!

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
