Here and some things people have done that made me adore and appreciate them more.
- Flossed Daily- This should come as no surprise to anyone, but oh, how it does. I remember I had a roommate who made it a point to floss every morning and every night. At first, I thought it was weird because I’ve never known anyone who flosses so often, but little did I know how much of an impact it’d end up having on me. I’m proud to say I floss every morning and night because of her, and it’s made me love her a little more.
- Invited me to coffee- During college, we all get so caught up in our own lives that we’re often too busy to focus on others. After recruitment, girls I met during recruitment went out of their way to make sure our friendship didn’t change. It’s hard to find friends that truly care about you, and when you do, it’s nice to keep them around. It’s always fun to go out for coffee or lunch with girlfriends.
- Kept their ears open- Instead of immediately shutting my opinions down, I’ve had people sit down with me to listen to my beliefs and opinions in attempt to fully understand me. Not only does it show true friendship, but I’ve noticed the strongest people have the ability to do this.
- Held the door open- This applies more to strangers so I don’t “love” them more, but I definitely appreciate their existence. It’s nice to see people be good humans towards other and in general.
- Asked how I was doing- I try to stay updated with how my friends are doing because I genuinely do care. It demonstrates thoughtfulness.
